v1.4.0Latest

Creator economy: central-bank points, gated blocks and creator analytics

Features

  • Dashboard rebuilt: Three tabs — overview, works and assets — so you can see who is reading you, what you own and how much you have contributed on one page

  • Creator analytics: Opens, qualified views, unique viewers, traffic sources and top blocks over 7 / 30 / 90 days, counting other people only

  • Unlock revenue: Unlocks, readers and your author share are reported on their own, keeping reach and real income apart

  • Three access states: Each pixel is public, gated or private; gated blocks show title and cover, with the body unlockable for that world’s points, permanently

  • 70/20/10 unlock split: 70% to the author, 20% to the world pool and 10% burned; gated area is capped at 15% of a world so a region never becomes a paywall

  • Reputation: Qualified views, unlocks and the 10 / 100 / 1000 view milestones all add reputation — global, unspendable, with a site-wide rank

  • Daily exploration: Five qualified reads of other people’s work (8 seconds or more each) earns 3 points from the world pool, so browsing pays too

  • World events (limited boost): Owners can run 100%–500% boosts on check-in, building or exploration, funded from the public pool and expiring once spent or out of time

  • Notifications: An in-app notice arrives when your work is unlocked or crosses a view milestone, with mark-all-read

Improvements

  • Central-bank issuance: A world can only issue from its own pool, with a daily release cap of 5% (minimum 1); when the quota runs out, rewards pause until tomorrow so the pool is never drained

  • Traceable ledger: Every grant records its rule, idempotency key and resulting balance; a repeated view report never counts twice

  • Owner console v2: The economy panel shows pool balance, circulation, today’s release against quota, burns and event budgets, with rules and events configured in one place

  • Platform economy monitor: Admins can inspect every world’s pool, circulation, issuance and burns, so inflation stays auditable

  • Server-side check-in: Streaks and exploration progress are computed by the server by calendar day, so switching devices never breaks a streak

  • Instant reward feedback: Hitting the fifth qualified view shows the points arriving right away instead of waiting for the next panel open

Bug fixes

  • Saving explore rules: Fixed the rule whitelist rejecting “daily exploration” when an owner saved earning rules

  • Private block protection: Private blocks no longer appear in other people’s lists or stats, and a block that has unlocks cannot be switched to private

v1.3.0

The pixel universe: one map, room for every world

Features

  • The pixel universe, explained: The home page, About page and blog now tell the whole story: the internet unfolded into a map of pixel blocks, where every square is the entrance to a world

  • Straight to the map: The nav and the hero button lead to the map — claim a pixel, place your 3D world on it, and others can walk in from the map

  • Two long reads: New articles: “The pixel universe: unfolding the internet into a map” and “Claim a pixel: from the map to your first world”

  • Eraser: The editor gains an eraser (shortcut E) with drag-to-erase and one-step undo; blocks you have not saved yet can be wiped too

  • Transparent and default fill: Blocks now switch between a default fill and transparent, with #bfd2e5 as the default; transparent image backgrounds correctly reveal the block colour

  • Freer pixels: The brush offers a colour picker and manual #RRGGBB input, and 2×2 blocks can set a cover image — no more size limit

  • Email-verified sign-up: Registration now requires an email code, so accounts are clearly owned and bulk sign-ups are harder

Improvements

  • Search signals everywhere: Every page now ships a canonical URL plus hreflang for Chinese, English, Spanish and French, so search engines can pair the language versions correctly

  • Structured data: FAQ, product, organisation, blog posts, author pages and world pages all emit schema.org data, making rich results far more likely

  • A more complete sitemap: The sitemap now lists blog posts, the universe map, the square, public worlds and author pages — new content is discovered sooner

  • Crawl policy: Sign-in, dashboard and editor pages are explicitly noindex, and parameterised views no longer create duplicates — crawl budget goes to real content

  • A calmer editor: Colour controls collapse into a single entry with a light glass panel, and the arrow-key hint is gone: the canvas is yours

Bug fixes

  • Image block outline: Removed the stray outline around cover images, so image and block edges stay clean

  • Detail panel colours: Element details now support a transparent fill too — one colour system instead of two

v1.2.0

Area join policies and application review

Features

  • Area join policies: Each area can follow the world default, be open, require an application or stay reserved — switchable from the area panel

  • Claim quota: Newcomers start with 3 cells in open areas and gain 1 per day up to 10; after 7 days with 10 cells they become trusted residents with a cap of 50

  • Join status panel: Visitors can see vacant cells, existing residents, their claim quota and pending positions

  • Application inbox: World owners review applications in one place: approving places the block, rejecting can include an 80-character reason

  • My applications: Applicants track pending, approved, rejected and expired requests, and can apply elsewhere after a rejection

  • Application note: Add an 80-character note to explain your building plan and improve the approval rate

Improvements

  • Role-aware entry: The map entry reads "Manage world" for owners and "Join" for visitors, with the remaining vacancy count

  • Policy on hover: Hover hints label each empty cell as claimable, application-only or reserved before you click

  • Application expiry: Pending applications are highlighted after 7 days and expire automatically after 14, so positions are no longer held forever

  • Clearer error messages: APIs now return machine-readable error codes, with tailored hints for quota, pending limits and taken cells

  • Private world protection: Private worlds are readable only by their owner, even with a direct link

Bug fixes

  • Canvas permissions: Non-owners no longer enter author mode; brushes and local drafts belong to the world owner

  • Application slots: Rejected or expired coordinates can be applied for again instead of being blocked by the old unique constraint

  • Rule panel: Removed price and per-user cap inputs that were not enforced server-side, so the rules no longer mislead

v1.1.0

A mobile experience for map and editor

Features

  • Global search: One search box shared by the canvas overlay and side panel, jumping across pixel blocks in a single click

  • Social sign-in: Sign in quickly with third-party accounts — a more open account system

  • Arrow-key roaming: Roam and activate pixel blocks with the arrow keys, with identical behavior on the map and in the editor

  • Article link details: A dedicated cover and info card for external article blocks, with content loaded on demand

Improvements

  • Mobile support: Map and editor adapt to phone portrait and landscape, with pinch zoom, safe-area spacing and bottom sheets

  • Faster first paint: Slimmer pixel block detail payloads and weak ETag caching on the map API for quicker loads on slow networks

  • Private content isolation: Private pixel blocks are strictly filtered by visibility to prevent data leaks

Bug fixes

  • Ruler display: Fixed the ruler missing after refreshing the editor and unwanted hover feedback on the map ruler

  • Sign-in and sign-up: Unified the login and registration forms and fixed third-party callback errors
